Charger update: UAH (0-4-0) is ready for its home opener after two rough weekends on the road.
Sophomore goaltender Mark Sinclair had a stand-out performance Friday at Colorado College, stopping 46 of 47 shots in a 1-0 loss.
The Chargers will be celebrating the 40th season of intercollegiate hockey at UAH.
On Friday night, schedule magnets will be given to the first 500 fans. On Saturday night, the first sets of UAH hockey trading cards will be given away. Kids 12 and under can get free general admission tickets, courtesy Huntsville International Airport, at the VBC box office on game days.
About the Sun Devils: Arizona State (2-2-0) opened the season with four games at home. The Sun Devils swept their first-ever Division I series at home against Alaska with a pair of shutouts, then last week played tough against top-ranked Ohio State, losing 3-2 and 3-0.
This is the fourth season Arizona State has fielded a Division I team. Last season, the independent program had an overall record of 8-21-5, including a two-game split with the Chargers in Tempe last season.
